Going Natural

I have the greatest sweet tooth imaginable. When it comes to chocolate, I’m all yours. Now everyone knows chocolates or sweets in general are not ones best friend. All these trans fats, processed foods and sugars, have various negative side effects.  That sound highly dramatic, I know. A little never hurts and lets face it is just a soul soother sometimes. But then again we all know pimples result from unhealthy nutrition, sweets also spike your sugar levels and make you crave even more.

So lately I’ve been trying to “cleanse” my eating habits, cutting back on midday chocolate snacks, sugar loaded breakfasts and rather going for healthier options. Not only do they make you feel better, but they can also taste amazing, if you only let yourself be open for it.

My friend and I went to an all natural grocery store a few days ago and picked up some, in my opinion, main ingredients for healthy cooking. Chia Seeds, Coconut oil and Coconut water. I was so excited about my purchases that I just had to share them with you. Yes, I know, silly me, getting all excited over some seeds and oil. Continue reading

Coffee Table Reads

It’s always nice to relax with a cup of tea or coffee and maybe nibble on some chocolate or cookies. And there’s nothing better than doing so with some fun books to look at and drool over. I’ve had a look at my table and here are a few of my favorites.

Imagine having someone over and you lack in conversation, what better way to find out about your common interests than books like these? Continue reading

With Spring come bright colors and pastel hues. Say Goodbye to dark polishes which or course are quite lovely for autumn and winter. Today I’m bringing you my favorite polishes for this season. There’s surely something for everyone here. From classic reds and lilacs, to greens, blues and even yellow sneaked its way into the bunch. Continue reading

Always At Hand

In a perfect world I’d always carry an amazing large bag around with me to fit everything I need. Yeah well THAT is not the case for me. Firstly I do not own a gorgeous large bag, still on my “Once I earn enough money”-List, secondly I’m way to lazy to actually carry a heavy bag full of shizz I won’t need anyways around with me.

So no big make-up/ toiletry bag for me, at least most of the times (There is of course the odd exception!) But there are a few things I always Always make sure to grab and throw in my bag, no matter how big or small. Continue reading

One-Swipe Wonders

IMG_4913

Keeping with yesterdays theme of lazy day makeup I thought I’d do a round up of the best most fuss free shadows in my collection. Often times they are the saviors that will have everybody thinking about how much effort you put into your makeup, when really you just did the usual “grab swipe and go”. Best thing about these shadows: All you need is your finger and preferably a blending brush of your choice, to soften and blend the edges..but even that you could use a finger for. Add lashings of mascara, and you’re good to go. Continue reading

The “Can’t decide which one” Blush

 photo output_WSxemU_zps4fadd838.gif

So when I actually decide to get up that 20 minutes earlier to put my face on, a lot of the times I just can’t decide what products to use.

That’s probably one of the reasons I skip makeup on lazy exam days. Just being so overwhelmed by the variety of brands and colours, my half-asleep behind can’t wrap it’s head around that.
But there is the odd occasion when I do need to look acceptable or I really want to feel pretty for once.

Now I’ve heard many Beauty Gurus talk about this gem, but living in Germany (It’s impossible to get a hold of most beauty brands over here. grr!), I did not have the chance to try it out.

I’m talking about Tartes Amazonian Clay 8H Blush in Exposed of course.
